Tiago Machado

Tiago Machado has been practicing Yoga for 14 years and since then has made several trips around the world, where he had the opportunity to practice and learn from various sources. He has lived for several years in India, between ashrams in the North and Yoga schools in the South. An Ashtanga Yoga practitioner of Vinyasa Yoga, Surfer, Musician, Artist, Designer among many facets, Tiago Machado loves to explore and experience the various dimensions of life.

In 2005, Tiago started his Yoga practice at Casa Vinyasa School in Lisbon, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (www.casavinyasa.com) with teachers Isa Guitana, Tarik Van Pren and Manuel Ferreira.

In 2006 he participated in the First Workshop of Ashtanga Yoga with Rolf Naujokat of Yoga Bones School (www.yogabones.org). And in 2007 he participated in the Design and Creation of the Yoga Surf Camp Project in Vila Nova de Milfontes (8 weeks).

Between 2008 and 2009, Tiago did
– His first trip to India;
– An Ashtanga Yoga Course with Rolf & Marci Naujokat, and Yoga Bones in Goa, India (5 weeks);
– An Ashtanga Yoga Course at Patanjala Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Shala from Sheshadri in Mysore, India (5 weeks);
– After returning from 6 months of living in India, he gave his first Yoga workshop in Bratislava — 3 days of introduction in Ashtanga Yoga;
– Yoga studies at the Ganesh School in Vienna, Austria;
– Yoga instructor in Bratislava, at Yoga Freaks (personal studio);
– A course of Hatha Yoga and Ayurvedic Medicine – Santosh Puri Ashram (5 weeks);
– Pranayama Ashtanga Yoga with B.N.S. Iyengar in Mysore, India (4 weeks);

In 2010, similarly, Tiago
– Returned to India for another 6 months of studies in History, Philosophy and Yoga practice;
– An Ashtanga Yoga Course with Sheshadri, Mysore (4 weeks);
– His first visit to Auroville;
– Volunteer work during the Spiritual Festival in North India, Kumbha Mela, Santosh Puri Ashram;
– The Ashtanga Yoga Course with Rolf & Marci Naujokat, and Yoga Bones in Goa, India (2 weeks);
– Assistant Director in the area dedicated to Alternative Therapies and Practices, Healing Area, at the Boom Festival;

Also, in 2011, he took courses in:
– Yoga instructor at IPEC (Institute of Permaculture and Ecovillages of the Cerrado – www.ecocentro.org – 6 months);
– Yoga instructor in Bratislava, at Yoga Freaks (personal studio);

In the year of 2012, he participated in:
– Acro-Yoga Workshop with Jason Nemer at the Ganesh Yogacentrum Vienna, Austria;
– Assistant Production and Art in the Healing Area at the Boom Festival;
– Yoga Instructor in Bratislava, at Yoga Freaks (personal studio) and Lotus Joga (lotusjoga.sk/);
– Yoga Instructor Assistant at Ganesh Yogacentrum Vienna, Austria (1 week);
– Yoga Instructor in Lisbon, Yoga Lisboa (www.lisboa-yoga.com/) (9 weeks);

Between the years of 2012 and 2013, Tiago:
– Returned to India for another 6 months of study and practice of Yoga;
– Did the Ashtanga Yoga Course with Rolf & Marci Naujokat, and Yoga Bones in Goa, India (5 weeks);
– Ashtanga Yoga course with Vijay Kumar, Mysore (2 weeks);
– Ashtanga Yoga Instructor in Jaipur and Haridwar, Northern India;

In 2014, he took the Ashtanga Yoga Instructor course (2 weeks).

Already in 2015:
– Again an investment of 5 months of immersion in yoga studies in India;
– Ashtanga Yoga Course with Rolf & Marci Naujokat, and Yoga Bones in Goa, India (5 weeks);
– Ashtanga Yoga Course in Auroville, India (5 weeks);
– Yoga instructor at Aravinda Yoga Shala (3 months);
– Yoga instructor at Casa Vinyasa (5 weeks);
– Assistant Instructor at the Be Gathering Festival at Boomland with Luke Jordan;

In 2016:
